Ah, shipping costs…the necessary evil. Please be assured that we’re not trying to make a profit on shipping: we’re trying to use the most reliable, environmentally friendly, cost-effective shipping company available to deliver your babies safely. Also, when placing your order, the rule of “4” applies…you’ll get the best shipping and packaging value by purchasing in multiples of 4 plants. Of course, we’ll happily ship as few as one plant or as many as you like…We’ll constantly be monitoring our shipping options to find the best service at the best price for you, our valued gardening friends.
We've changed our shipping to help save you money and serve you better. We now ship with USPS, which allows Saturday deliveries (when we're all anxious to garden!) If you need your order shipped overnight, please call us at (864) 325.3355 so that we can make arrangements and quote your costs.
Also, please be aware that we would love to ship to CA…but due to a CA agricultural quarantine, we cannot ship plants to CA gardeners at this time. We also cannot ship to Hawaii and Alaska. We can now ship to PO boxes, but please don't let your plants linger in the PO box. Domestic orders only, please.
Shipping rates vary depending on the weight of your order. The rates will be automatically calculated for you when you enter your shipping information. If your order weighs more than 30 lbs., please call 864.325.3355 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for the shipping rate.
Of course, if you happen to be in the Spartanburg, SC area…shipping rates don’t apply at all if you’d like to make arrangements to pick up your order! We’d love to see you. Just please call (864.325.3355) or e-mail (email@example.com) to arrange a date and time.
At Garden Delights, we’re working to minimize our carbon footprint. From the OMRI certified, biodegradable Dot™ Pots we use to the compostable plant tags to the packaging that cushions the plants in transit from our garden to yours, we continuously search for the most environmentally-friendly solutions to growing and packaging. We’re not perfect, but we strive to be! Everything in your shipment is biodegradable, recyclable, and/or recycled. No plastic peanuts will ever touch our organic plants! Even the bag wrapped around the plant’s pot to contain the soil is a biodegradable, compostable film made from plants.
Plants will begin shipping in April 2013, depending upon weather and your plant hardiness zone location.
